17 Rescue / Squad 175

The Lambertville-New Hope Kiwanis are sponsoring their annual Good Friday (March 25)

breakfast at the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad. This will be the first

year the event will be at the squad banquet hall.   The Kiwanis have been holding this service for

over 50 years.  It was first started by the late Russ Heath and originally held at the Lambertville

House.  It was later moved to the Lambertville YMAC until its closing last year. The event

includes a full course breakfast and an inspirational guest speaker. Breakfast is served at 8:00

AM. Proceeds will benefit the rescue squad’s 9/11 memorial to be built at the squad’s banquet

hall entrance. The memorial includes a piece of steel from the World Trade Center destroyed in

the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack and ashes of two search and rescue dogs that worked at

the site. For information call 609-658-0768 or 215-630-8028. Tickets are $15.00 per person.

Tickets are available at the door.
